Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Parmentier is a Pastor in the Lutheran Church of Alsace-Lorraine and Professor of Practical Theology at the Protestant Theological Faculty of the University of Geneva. She first joined the Institute staff as a research assistant in 1992 and has continued to work closely with the Institute ever since, currently as Visiting Research Professor. Her particular research interests include contemporary appropriation of biblical texts and hermeneutics, women and gender studies, and models of communion in ecumenical perspective. She is a member of the French ecumenical research group called Groupe des Dombes.
